DIRECTOR OF THE O.N.G. AGROHOMA
DR. ABEL HERNANDEZ

Piura, January 2002

This letter, besides expressing my most cordial greetings, lets you know some of the observations made during the 3 months of Homa Therapy implementation in my property, located in the Chira valley, in the district of Tamarind, town Mount Lima in the Department of Piura (S 4º53' W 81º01'), Peru.

The property consists of 80 hectares, 30 of those are a mango plantation and 22 hectares are cultivated with asparagus, the rest of the area has short term crops.

Homa Therapy was installed in those 40 hectares of the property, embracing most of the area of the mangos and is applied there in strict form. Inside these 40 hectares of Homa influence is a small asparagus cultivation and although it is not treated directly with Homa Therapy, is under it's influence, because it is very near to the Agnihotra- and Tryambakam-hut. But the Homa Therapy is oriented in the mango cultivation.

CULTIVATION OF ASPARAGUS

The maintenance of this cultivation is carried out according to a technology given by the Company IAN PERU, with which we have a sale and purchase contract. In the cultivation of the asparagus a technological package is applied, which uses chemical fertilizers and pesticides. After 2 months of Homa Therapy application the asparagus harvest began.
What we were able to observe is, that in the part of the asparagus cultivation, which is adjacent to the Homa huts, has been a higher production than in the rest of the cultivation, which is not under the Homa Therapy influence. This was observed in the one hectare (1 hct.) that is next to the Homa huts and this result is surprising.

In the other lots of the 22 hectares of asparagus an average yield of approx. 3,000 Kgs. per hectare has been obtained (in this harvest). In the 1 hectare lot beside the Homa huts 5,000 Kgs have been obtained in this harvest. This yield is the highest of all yields ever harvested on the property. Beside, the yield of this one hectare lot has traditionally in all harvest been below average.
Now the harvest of this crop is over and for the next season we will maintain this part of the asparagus cultivation with Homa Therapy only. The next harvest will be in the month of April of the year 2002, where we will continue to observe and to compare results.

CULTIVATION OF MANGO

Inside the 40 hectares with Homa Therapy the biggest part of the mango cultivation is under Homa treatment. The maintenance in the present season has been carried out with certain limitations, due to the lack of financing on the part of the local financing system, a problem that affects all national farmers; it is for that reason that the plantation met with certain deficiencies before beginning the Homa Therapy. It was hardly fertilized, watered only once in a while, weeding and other work was neglected in certain areas of the plantation and the consequence was reflected in little growth and development of the young mango plantation.

After 3 months of Homa Therapy implementation, in spite of not carrying out the cultural works in a timely manner, a total change was observed. The plantation presents a general growth in the size of the plant and in foliation. A flowering is observed, which is not characteristic for this time. Since it is so close to the harvest, a natural stress of the fructification should be noticed. But like I repeat, in spite of the little attention in the maintenance, these changes have been observed. Besides, only a small incidence in the fall of the fruits due to climatic changes was observed, while it has very well affected other mango plantations of the department.

We will monitor the harvest, which will be in the 2nd half of December and observe the obtained results.

CONCLUSIONS

In the 3 months of having applied Homa Therapy, a quite evident change can be seen in the property of the plantation. Not only changed the plants in growth and foliage development, but also the greenery of the plants has become intense and brilliant. We feel that for the next harvest, carrying out all the proper cultural work and with the organic fertilization of the Tryambakam ash and the foliar application of the Agnihotra ash in a periodical and opportune manner, the following campaign will bring exceptional results.

Without further additions and with best regards.

Sincerely,

Signature of
